This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Game-Based Training (GBT) method in improving floorball skills in university students. The background of this study stems from the need for a training approach that emphasizes not only technical aspects, but also decision-making and tactical understanding in game situations. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 10 university students divided into two groups: the experimental (using the GBT method) and the control (using the conventional method). The instruments used included a basic floorball skills test (passing, dribbling, shooting) and the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) to assess tactical aspects. The results showed that the experimental group experienced more significant improvements than the control group in all measured skill aspects. The application of GBT through small-sided games and the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) approach proved effective in developing technical and tactical skills simultaneously. These findings support the use of GBT as a contextual and holistic training strategy in developing floorball playing skills, particularly in physical education environments.
