The fourth industrial revolution or Industry 4.0 has brought fundamental transformations in the manufacturing and technology sectors, creating new challenges in the preparation of competent human resources (HR). This research aims to explore the readiness of electronic engineering human resources in facing the Industry 4.0 era and its contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure. Through a systematic literature review method of scientific articles from various academic databases, this research analyzes Industry 4.0 technology trends, competencies needed by electronic engineering human resources, and capacity building strategies to support SDG 9. The results show that the readiness of electronic engineering human resources requires a comprehensive transformation in the aspects of education, training, and reskilling. Key technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and cyber-physical systems demand new competencies that include digital literacy, analytical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. These findings provide important implications for the development of engineering education curricula, industrial training programs, and national HR development policies in achieving SDG 9 targets.
