Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of the facilities available at the Rawamangun Bus Stop, East Jakarta, in meeting the needs of its users. The research was conducted through field observation and a literature review of technical guidelines issued by the Ministry of Transportation as well as findings from other studies. The observations revealed that while some basic facilities such as seating, roofing, and lighting are available, they are not yet fully adequate. Issues were found, including malfunctioning card tap and top-up machines, non-functional balance check machines, and the absence of toilet facilities. There are only a few fans, which are insufficient to reduce the heat inside the bus stop, especially during the daytime. The bus stop is also too narrow, causing passengers to crowd during peak hours, and the digital arrival schedule board is often inaccurate. The literature review confirms that a good bus stop facility must meet technical standards and ensure user comfort, as stated in the Decree of the Director General of Land Transportation No. 271/HK.105/DRJD/96 and Ministerial Regulation No. 10 of 2012. This study concludes that the Rawamangun Bus Stop still requires significant improvements to become a proper and user-friendly facility.
