Abstract

The development of technology in this era of globalization has been increasingly rapid, from young to old age groups feel the positive benefits. However, every development has a negative impact. One of the negative impacts of this technological development is how social media has influenced us in our daily lives, especially the adolescent age group. In this journal, I will discuss how social media can be used to detect mental health disorders in adolescents using artificial intelligence. The research method that I use in this journal is a quantitative method, where I process large amounts of data and draw conclusions from the data. The data I use comes from the Kaggle page, created by Sze Gee Lim, MinqiLEE09, Koyi Chow, and Wen Xi Lau. This dataset is public, and there are no rights that restrict me from using this dataset. I would like to thank the creators of this dataset because they have created a complete dataset and a large amount of data. The results of this quantitative research are that the artificial intelligence model can distinguish types of mental health disorders with fairly high accuracy. This research is expected to provide in-depth insights into the effectiveness of artificial intelligence technology in detecting mental health disorders.
